Help! My newly planted flowers keep croaking!?

The south-facing garden in full sun for most of the few day.A of plants that have survived, but the shock of transplanting others look about half dead. I planted a mulberry tree Dwarf / Bush, and some butterfly attractering flowers and leaves from falling off the topiary.The topiary despite my feed. I ised root stimulated and fueled plants Peters plant food. Also incorporates some mixed organic soils in the existing SNAD and dirt. Any suggestions on what else I can do to help these plants? Maybe I'm kidding myself trying to create a cottage type of look to my garden, FL, lol? I have had with watering too much but it is very hot and dry here is like fighting a battle endless. Excuse the bad spelling please, the words that were meant (used and sand) Lol, I did for them at Lowes. Thanks for the tip!
