How exactly does one grow a mint plant?
I need the basics of watering, soil requirements, and any other thing I do not know what to do. I am very newbie here, so please feel free to reply to me as if I were one of two years. Gardening jargon only will pass over my head. I just want to ask the guys at Home Depot, but had a tough enough time understanding the fact that garden hoses are sold somewhere in your store. I'm afraid to try their luck. Thanks for the help.
Mint grow in almost any soil type. It grows so well that they have to watch that may not run in your garden. If you choose a place apart, just for the mint, you can put on the floor and let it spread out, or you can sink a container in Soil and plant mint in it, or establish some other type of physical barrier to keep the roots from spreading too. Select a location that is in part partly sunny and shady. Sow seeds of mint about 1/8-inch deep 1/2-to at any time between May and July. Keep soil damp but not wet constantly. Thin the plants when they are approximately 2 inches high. http://www.ehow.com/how_2120059_grow-peppermint.html?ref=fuel
