Trumpet Vine can be contained in a large pot instead of planting?

I bought a trumpet vine seeds, but I read in a gardening forum, aggressively and are invasive. This makes me not want to plant in the soil and must become a plague for me or my neighbors, so I wondered if anyone known whether the plant in a large pot with a trellis, it will be OK? bought for my butterfly and hummingbird garden. Thank you!
