strong>Building A Garden Box

The construction of a large garden planter box on the floor?
I want to build a container like a garden. I want to be near 30 " height. So far my plan is this: – Build with pressure treated lumber, posts and the parties only. It will be in the field (ie no background) – Line the sides with plastic to prevent leaching of chemicals into the ground (and keep the dryer wood) – there is much debate over whether this happens, but only to be sure …. Questions: – What should I do in the drain? I was going to put in concrete Fill (broken pieces, because I got a demo and need to put them in a place anyway) and then the sand during the first one foot and then land on top of that. Is it bad idea? I imagine that plants do not get that far down, so that's what really need soil to the bottom? I read about the provision of drainage, but usually for boxes bottom, I thought the ground would be good. — For a good "stack", what should I do to fill the pot for its creation to the task? Sand / soil / manure? How much is good for vegetables?
